Jaguar XK8 and XKR Convertible Tonneau Cover

Description

This roof/hood cover, or tonneau cover as it is sometimes called, is designed to enhance the look of the Jaguar XK8 and XKR convertible models built from 1996 to 2006, both the 4.0 litre and 4.2 litre versions. When the roof is lowered the car resembles a child’s pram and looks very unfinished. With the Jaguar supplied leather tonneau cover there is a slight aesthetic improvement but this cover really makes the car look sporty and finished. Many people have commented that the cover looks as if it is an integral part of the car.
No modification to the car is required and the cover fits in exactly the same way as the Jaguar supplied leather cover, with black Tenax fasteners at the front fitting to the C-Post and the rear part fitting into the gutter under the boot lid.The cover comes in 2 pieces and can be fitted or removed easily within a few minutes. The 2 pieces are made of fibreglass and are light in weight (approximately 6 lb) which can be stored in the boot of the car or behind the front seats, in the leatherette pouches that are supplied. These are supplied unpainted in primer.
